A Love Letter to Two Cities

Deux Paris was born in 2019 from a simple idea: what if the soul of a Parisian neighbourhood bistro could thrive along an Amsterdam canal? Founded by chef Julien Morel and his partner Anna de Vries, the restaurant is a love letter to both cities they call home.

Julien trained in the kitchens of Lyon and Paris before moving to Amsterdam, where he fell in love with the Dutch approach to seasonal, farm-driven cooking. At Deux Paris, these two worlds meet — classic French technique, honest Dutch ingredients, and a dining room that feels like an extension of your own home.

The name "Deux Paris" is a playful nod to the duality of the project — two cities, two culinary traditions, two people building something together. The "deux" also hints at a second Paris, reimagined on the Prinsengracht.

We source from farms and producers within 100 km of Amsterdam wherever possible.
